Lore & Spirit

Lore & Spirit is a 4-week writing immersion designed specifically for Black Spirit Writers. A Spirit Writer is a Medium whose primary form of communication with Spirit is through writing. This is not an introductory course teaching you how to communicate with Spirit, nor is it a class focused on teaching the craft of writing. It is not intended for beginners or those who are newly exploring their spiritual path.

This immersion is designed for individuals who already maintain an active relationship with their Ancestors and seek practical tools and guidance to strengthen their ability to receive and interpret messages with greater clarity. Acceptance into this immersion requires commitment, spiritual discipline, and a willingness to deepen your practice even when it's uncomfortable.

This space is for those who are obedient to Spirit, dedicated to their growth, and prepared to engage fully in the responsibilities of serving as vessels for their Ancestors and stewards of their spiritual gifts. Because communicating with your people is your birthright.

Applications are now open for submission. Applications will close on April 26th.  Interview invitations will be sent on May 3, 2026. All interviews will be conducted on May 23rd & May 24th via Zoom.

Please Note:

• All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis in the order they are received. Due to the high volume of submissions, not all applicants will receive a response. Only those selected to advance to the next stage of the review process will be contacted via email.
• Applicants whose initial submissions are approved will be invited to participate in an interview with Griot Bae and her team. This interview serves as the next step in determining final acceptance into the immersion program.
• Following the interview process, selected candidates will receive a formal acceptance notification on June 3rd. This notification will include a payment link, as well as a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and Community Agreement. The cost of the immersion is $210, and payment plans are available.
• To secure your place in the program, all required documents, including the signed NDA and Community Agreement, must be completed and submitted along with full payment no later than June 6th.
